SLAS Discovery and SLAS Technology invite proposals from interested guest editors for collections of five to seven original scientific reports that collectively explore the different dimensions, recent achievements and existing challenges related to a timely topic of interest and importance to SLAS journal readers.
Guest editors are responsible for:
Proposing a topic that fits appropriately into one of the journal’s editorial scope.
Recruiting authors to prepare five to seven novel and previously unpublished scientific reports (e.g. review papers, original research, technology brief, technical note, application note).
Disclosing any potential conflicts of interest relating to the submitting authors or submitted manuscripts. (Note: Having and identifying potentially competing interests does not disqualify authors or editors.)
Assisting the editor-in-chief throughout the manuscript review and revision process.
Preparing an editorial introduction that defines the topic and goals of the special collection, explains why it is important to readers and briefly highlights the manuscripts in the collection (approx. 2000 words).
Proposals must include:
The name of the journal for which the proposal is intended (i.e. SLAS Discovery or SLAS Technology).
A suggested title for the collection.
An overview of the intended focus and goals of the collection.
Six succinct keywords to reflect the main themes of the collection.
Name, e-mail, affiliation and a short biography of the guest editor.
SLAS journals do NOT require authors to pay article processing charges (APCs). Guest editors and authors receive 60 days free access to the SAGE Pharmacology & Biomedical Collection. Timetables to be determined. All publication decisions are made by the editors-in-chief.
