For Immediate Release
Boston, MA (February 10, 2022) – The Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening announced the winners of its annual New Product Awards Monday, February 7 at the SLAS International Conference and Exhibition in Boston, MA.
This year’s New Product Award winners are Kebotix for its ReactionSage product, Partillion Bioscience Corporation for Nanovials and SEED Biosciences SA for DISPENCELL All-in-One.
“SLAS has always been a great platform for organizations to launch new products into the market and we are always impressed with the ingenuity that goes into these products,” said Vicki Loise, SLAS Chief Executive Officer. “What is especially impressive is that two of this year’s award winners – Kebotix and Partillion Bioscience Corporation — are also Innovation AveNEW participants, so for start-ups to win this award shows just how much innovation and problem-solving is happening in the life sciences marketplace.”
The Cambridge, Massachusetts-based technology company Kebotix produced ReactionSage, an artificial intelligence-powered software solution for predicting novel and diverse sets of reaction pathways for forward and retro synthesis. Developed by chemists, for chemists, ReactionSage is capable of retrosynthesis, forward reaction prediction, reagent suggestion and procedure generation, using a proprietary algorithm that yields diverse routes without increasing runtime.
Partillion Bioscience Corporation is a venture-backed life science company developing a next generation single-cell analysis platform. The award winning nanovial technology enables users to accelerate therapeutic development to address the most difficult diseases and provide advanced scientific insights. Nanovials are a multiomics-compatible platform that unlocks secretions, surface markers and sequencing using standard instruments.
Finally, the DISPENCELL ALL-in-ONE from Switzerland-based SEED Biosciences SA is an updated release of a product that won the company the SLAS Ignite Award in 2019. Dispencell is an automated laboratory instrument designed for fast, easy and gentle single cell isolation. DISPENCELL has been designed to quickly integrate a lab routine in a plug-and-play approach, and operates equally under sterile conditions in a culture hood, or on a simple benchtop.
Each year at the SLAS International Conference and Exhibition, the New Product Award is given to up to three companies showcasing new products that are commercially available within 90 days pre- and post-conference. Products are evaluated by a judging panel onsite at the companies’ booths. Winning products are granted use of the New Product Award designation for a year and are promoted through SLAS’s multi-channel communications.
