Mission / Charge | Provide the journal editors with a diverse team of volunteers to foster editorial excellence and proactively contribute to the journal’s success. Level of Authority | The Editorial Board has full authority for the content of the Journal. |
Other Committees/TFs/Councils with Which This Group Interacts | The EB reports to the Knowledge Content and Delivery Council (KCDC). |
Number of Members, Terms & Rotation | The EB does not have minimum or maximum limits for membership. All EB members shall be Members of the Society. Individual EB members are appointed to three-year terms and may serve two (2) consecutive three-year terms. Reappointments to second three-year terms are made by the editor-in-chief and are contingent upon performance. After serving two (2) consecutive three-year terms, EB members must take a leave of service for at least one (1) year before they may be considered for reappointment. |
Desired Member Skills |
EB members will be dues-paying members, active participants in the Society and be willing to serve and represent SLAS as involved leaders. They will have a broad understanding of the goals and work of the Society. EB members should be diverse in that collectively they represent:

Type & Frequency of Meetings | The EB meets as a group three (3) times each year. One (1) in-person meeting is held during the annual SLAS International Conference and Exhibition and two (2) web conferences are held (one in spring and one in fall). |
Budget | EB members are not involved in the journal budget development or management process. The editor-in-chief and director of publishing are responsible for the journal budget. |
