Make an Impact at SLAS2025 with Clean the World

SLAS is proud to partner with Clean the World to bring a powerful social good initiative to SLAS2025. We encourage attendees to participate in daily activities within the Expo Hall to help assemble hygiene kits as part of our mission to create 1,200 kits for donation to local San Diego organizations. Together, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need!

About Clean the World & The Wash Foundation

Founded in 2009, Clean the World addresses global health challenges by recycling discarded hygiene supplies from the hospitality industry. Its efforts began with repurposing soap into new bars for distribution to underserved communities, helping reduce hygiene-related illnesses and deaths. Today, Clean the World and its foundation focus on achieving universal access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) through programs emphasizing education, local accountability and community engagement. These outcome-driven initiatives will create lasting, sustainable improvements without reliance on ongoing aid.

Daily Donation Partners:

• Monday: Veterans Village of San Diego (VVSD)
  • VVSD provides vital support to veterans and their families, addressing challenges like homelessness, addiction, unemployment and access to healthcare. Your hygiene kits will aid their mission to help veterans rebuild their lives.
     
• Tuesday: Home Start – Maternity Housing Program
  • Home Start offers transitional and permanent supportive housing for pregnant and parenting youth, young adults aging out of foster care and others at risk of homelessness. Their holistic approach includes case management, domestic violence services and housing navigation to foster safe and stable living environments.
     
• Wednesday: Serving Seniors
  • Serving Seniors is dedicated to helping impoverished older adults live healthier, more fulfilling lives. Your contributions will directly support seniors in need, ensuring they have the essentials to thrive.
