Monday Night Party on the USS Midway

Join us for an incredible night onboard the USS Midway, the longest serving aircraft carrier in the 20^th century, which now serves as a museum. Guests will enjoy a sparkling view of the downtown San Diego skyline, while wandering the hangar deck and the massive flight deck areas getting up close to more than 20 aircraft, including the F-14 Tomcat used in the movie Top Gun.

We’ll have docent-led evening tours of Life at Sea between 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. where you can learn more about what it was like to live on the water for months on end.

Looking to get your heart pumping?

Guests may also try their hand (and eyes and nerves) with a five-minute virtual reality flight experience! Do you have what it takes to be an F-18 pilot?  This thrilling experience lets you launch your aircraft off the deck, hit targets, and return with a safe landing back on deck.

If that’s not enough, try Air Combat 360, a simulator that takes you on a pulse-pounding aerial combat ride where you control all the action. Roll, somersault, spin and loop with this high-energy activity!

With or without the action, you’ll have plenty of time to unwind and relax with your colleagues, make some new friends, and enjoy food and drinks, music and dancing onboard.

Afraid of getting seasick? Not to worry, the USS Midway is permanently docked and will not be in motion. It is a 20-minute flat walk directly down Harbor Drive from the San Diego Convention Center. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes for ease of navigating the ship.
