Nina Patrick, Ph.D., CEO and Co-founder, Memido (Germany)
Patrick is an award-winning scientist who spent several years leading R&D teams at biotech startups in Silicon Valley resulting in two patents, which were acquired by synthetic biology unicorn, Ginkgo Bioworks. Her Ph.D. focused on understanding epigenetic changes caused by medications. Seeing first-hand the impact that preventative healthcare can have on improving the patient outcome, she established memido to give health-curious people the power to make data-driven, proactive changes to reclaim their health.
Ytsen van der Meer, Investment Manager, NV NOM (Netherlands)
Ytsen van der Meer is a life sciences investor from the Netherlands working at a regional investment fund that invests across several domains, including life sciences and health, in the pre-seed and series A stages. His personal expertise lies within the early stage, life sciences and high- and deep-tech domain. He earned an M.Sc. in Business Administration and an Exec. M.Sc. in Mergers & Acquisitions and Valuation from the University of Groningen Business School.
