Elena Rivas is the CEO of A4CELL as well as the vice president of the Spanish Biotechnological Companies Association (AseBio). Rivas earned a biology degree and an M.B.A. in biotechnology from the University of Jaén (Spain) and has more than 23 years of experience in the biotechnology sector leading the go-to-market strategies for emerging life sciences companies.
Rivas started her professional career in the food tech sector before transitioning to the nanotechnological field to help develop new diagnostic tools that enhanced the sensitivity and accuracy of rapid tests for gold nanoparticles. With her tech transfer expertise, Rivas has achieved her dream of entrepreneurship and is a leading woman in the biotechnology sector in Spain, more specifically within the field of single cell analysis.
